• If mortality >50%, resow rice upto mid-August, else grow ragi.
• If mortality < 50%, gap-filling by using theby using the clonal tiller or with aged rice seedlings at close spacing at 15 x 10 cm with 5-7 seedlings/hill.
• Apply full P, K + 75% of N + FYM (5 t/ha) during land preparation
• Go for dry direct sowing
