Downy growth of the fungus on lower surface of the leaves
Leaf shredding due to downy mildew
Infected Field
1. Downy whitish growth is produced on the lower surface of the leaves.
2. White streaks appear on both the surfaces of the leaves.
3. The tissues then tear along the streaks causing Leaf shredding of the leaves.
4. The tissue then turns brown in color .
5. Numerous oospores are found in the shredded leaves.
6. The affected parts are stunted and sterile.
