Weeds are a major problem in Marigold farming,
hence 3 to 4 manual weeding during the entire growth is required.Mites and aphids sometimes infest the plants. Pests
such as leaf miners or spider mites can also be a problem. This can be controlled
by suitable application of insecticidal soap, repeated every other day for a
week or two. Marigold plants can be susceptible to gray mold, bacterial leaf
spot, powdery mildew, and root rot. Proper care should be taken.
