Saturated Soil Culture (SSC)
· Grow
rice crop on raised beds, and maintain the soil in saturated condition.
· Apply
shallow irrigation in furrows to obtain about 1 cm of standing water depth
after the disappearance of ponded water.
· It
is a good alternative to flooded rice production in semi-arid tropical
environment
