·      Before stocking the fingerlings should be given a bath in potassium permanganate @ 5 mg/L.

·      At the netting time, the caught fishes, if released to the pond again may be given bath with potassium permanganate before released to the pond again. 

·      Lime should be applied with regular intervals and especially before the onset of winter for the maintenance of pond health and water quality.
