Broadcast
less quantity of seeds (6-8 kg /ha) in puddled fields during the middle
of May using available surface or groundwater.

After
25 days, again transplant the seedlings in another small field where the
seedlings are grown for 20 days.

When
the seedlings reach the age of about 50-55 days, again transplant them in the main
field.
·
This
technique can withstand extended dry spells and prolonged water inundation in
the low-lying fields.
