Return / Outcome

Fodder Grass: Guinea/Thin Napier 18-20 t ha-1 year-1  with yield recovery of 80-85 % and BCR: 2.17

Acacia mangium Tree (at end of 12 years):

Av. 5.0 cft of timber and 0.4 t firewood per tree (Rs 4000-4500/tree). (from 1.0 ha out of 833 trees 600 trees are expected to be survived till harvest)

Any other information

It is suitable, in addition to supplying fodder and timber, for unbunded uplands and waste land. It is capable of improving soil physical condition and soil productivity.
