Bandhera
Bandhera is a type of check
dam that is built across rivers to impound water to form a large reservoir.
This technology is recommended for the plain area. Bandhera increases the water
level of the rivers allowing it to flow into smaller channels. Bandhera helps
in water supply for a longer period even when monsoon is over.
