Direct groundwater recharge

Direct GW recharge refers to the water added to the groundwater reservoir when it is in excess of soil moisture and evapotranspiration deficits, through direct vertical percolation of water. It may be done through contour bunding, percolation tank, dugout pond, and check dam.
