Button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) is the most common kind, accounting for 60% of the total production in the country. Hence, its a temperate mushroom, it can be grown year-round under regulated conditions or only during the winter months. Odisha has recently begun commercial production, with a current capacity of 110 tons/year, and this is expected to increase in the future.
