Integrated Weed Management

· Pre-emergence soil incorporation of Fluchloralin @ 1.5 kg a.i./ha along with wheat straw mulch or polythene mulch, OR

· Application of Pendimethalin (1.0 kg a.i./ha) or Metalochlor (1.0 kg a.i./ha followed by two intercultural operations at 30 and 45 DAS, OR

· Combination of higher seed rate and application of Pendimethalin at 1.0 kg ai/ha as pre-emergence followed by one hand weeding at 40 DAS, OR

· Higher planting density with Inter-row (30 cm in bunch type and 45 cm in spreading type), and intra-row (10 cm) spacing to smother the growth of the weeds combined with pre emergence application of any of the recommended herbicide
