Milky mushroom (Calcocybe indica) is indigenous tropical mushroom commercially cultivated in south India (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka). They are attractive white with excellent keeping quality (3-4 days) with a biological efficiency of (about 100%).Odisha does not have a commercial mushroom industry because the cropping time for both straw and milky mushrooms is the same.
