• 5-7.5 t/ha of farm yard manure; FYM should be applied one month before sowing.
• Bio-fertilizers: Treating seeds with Azospirillum brasilense (nitrogen fixing bacteria) and Aspergillus awamori (phosphate solubalizing fungi) @ 25 g/kg of seeds is beneficial.
