• For nursery management: top dressing of nitrogen in nursery should
be avoided.
• Sow for medium duration variety. If nursery is already established, aged seedlings may be transplanted with closer spacing in 4-5
seedlings/hill when the rain starts.
• Select medium
duration variety
• Apply full P, K + 20%
of N + FYM (5 t/ha) during land preparation in the main field.
• In
direct-sown field do not go for beaushening until there is sufficient moisture
available.
