Preventive
Preventive measures are to be taken based on a prediction before it
happened. The following preventive measures are recommended for a flash flood:
• Development of proper drainage system
• Proper and timely warning system
• Strengthening the bank of wetlands/river
• Strengthening and raising field bund
• Community nursery should be adopted.
• This district have a sporadic flood, hence selection of the suitable variety of short or medium duration (based on time left in cropping period) after receding of water is helpful.
