  • Third Party Certification: Involves more certification fees, specially meant for export of organic products, done by an accredited Certification Agency, National Programme for organic certification (NPOP) does this for export purpose
  • Participatory Guarantee System (PGS): The most economic organic certification system in which all the farmers participate in the process and guarantee for quality. The product is meant for domestic consumption and creates field for assessing the untouched small and marginal farmers who grow food organically but are unable to go for third party certification.
  • Alternative Certification Options: Mutual understanding between producer and consumer on food quality free from public organic certification procedures.
