Various coffee growing belts in India:

     The plantations in the south are the cradle of Indian coffee. They include the Bababudangiris in Karnataka, known as the            birthplace of coffee in India. The Eastern Ghats and the North Eastern states are newly developed areas of coffee.

         1. Traditional areas representing the southern states of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

         2. Non-traditional areas comprising Andhra Pradesh and Orissa in the Eastern Ghats of the country.

         3. Another non-traditional areas representing N-E states in India of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram,                         Manipur, Tripura

 Organic Coffees- A type of speciality coffee

       The coffee grown without using chemicals and pesticides are in great demand in the developed countries because of                   increasing awareness on health of consumers and protection of environment.
