The breed originated from China.

The pekins are white feathered bird with yellow orange
bills, reddish yellow shank and feet.
·
Fast growers and attain average weight of 2.5 – 2.7 in 5
month periods. If sufficient feeding is provided it have potential to attain
3.5 kg (female) in 2-6 months periods. The male
duck weights about 4.5 kg.

If
properly managed lays 160 eggs /year.
·
They
don’t take care of their baby.
·
They
don’t incubate eggs.
