Barnyard Millet Pudina Rice

Barnyard Millet Rice can be used to prepare everything that one makes with paddy rice – all the biryanis, pulavs, mixed rices, etc. Millet Rice is obtained by milling the millet seed to remove the husk (it is also called Hulled Millet). During this process, we take care that the bran is not removed so we get unpolished, whole grain Rice.

Steps for preparation

  • Cook barnyard millet in apressure cooker with water, saltto taste and bay leaf at mediumflame for1 whistle.
  • Prepare mint chutney with minimum water. Chop all the vegetables.
  • In a hot pan, take 1 tsp of oil. Add whole spices to it and fry for a minute.
  • Add chopped onion and fry till translucent.
  • Add chopped carrots and stir well, add mint chutney
