Barnyard Millet Pizza
Millet pizza recipe is very unique where the pizza base is made with the batter and not with the dough! If you are looking for an easy pizza recipe then this is probably the answer.
Steps for preparation
- Wash and soak the millets in water for 1
hour. Drain the excess water and grind to a smooth paste.
- To this add the baking soda, maida and salt.
Mix well (optional: ferment the batter by keeping it undisturbed in a warm
place for 6 hours)
- Take a flat pan or a large sized tawa, put 1
ladle full of the batter. Let it expand on its own. Don't spread it. Pour a
little bit of oil around its edges, let it cook on one side and then flip. Cook
the other side in a similar manner.
- Pre-heat the oven at 180°C.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and
place the pizza bases on it.
- Spread the tomato sauce and mozzarella
cheese on the bases and then add the toppings. Spread all over the pizza well.
- Put the tray in the oven and bake for 7-10 mins at 180° C. You can rotate the tray in between to get uniform cooking (but beware the tray will be hot)
- Remove from the oven and serve hot .
