Upma, uppumavu or uppittu is a dish originating
from the Indian subcontinent, most common in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, TamilNadu,
Karnataka, Maharashtrian, Gujarat, Odia and Sri Lankan Tamil breakfast, cooked
as a thick porridge from dry-roasted semolina or coarse rice flour.
