Abiotic Stress
- Abiotic stress is the deleterious effect of non-living causes on crops in a particular environment. Abiotic stresses include drought, flood, submergence, cyclone, heat stress, cold stress, salinity, and other environmental extremes.
Abiotic stress is a major threat to food security due to the continuous fluctuations of climate and deterioration of the environment caused by anthropogenic activity.
