Identification Symptoms
- Grubs bore into the rhizome.
- Black coloured mass of
rotten tissue observed in the rhizome
- The plants may show premature withering, the
leaves become scarce, and the fruits become under sized.
- Presence of dark
coloured tunnels in the rhizomes.
- Very few suckers
emerge from the affected plant.
- Death of unopened pipe,
withering of outer leaves finally cause death of the plant
