Chemical Control

For early grassy weeds and sedges:

Spray Bispyribac sodium @ 30 g a.i./ha at 8-10 DAE (two-three leaf stage of weeds), OR
Spray Penoxsulam @ 25 g a.i./ha at 10-12 days after transplanting, OR
Spray Chlorimuron-ethyl + metsulfuron-methyl @ 4 g a.i./ha at 7-10 days after transplanting, OR

Spray Bensulfuron Methyl + Pretilachlor @ 750 g a.i./ha at 10 DAT (or two-three leaf stage of weeds), OR

Sometimes, the efficacy of herbicides is reduced because of the continuous rain or dry spell following their application. If there are new flashes of grassy weeds, spray fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (60 ga.i./ha) at 25-28 DAE (3-4 leaf stage of weeds), or apply Cyhalofop butyl @ 100 g a.i./ha (Late post-emergence).
