·        Pre-emergence spraying with Atrazine @ 1.25 kg ai /ha and at 30 days after sowing, spraying of 2,4-D Sodium salt @ 0.5 kg a.i./ha for control of grassy and      broad leaved weeds effectively, OR

·      After 30-35 days, crop may be inter-cultivated and earthing up should be done.
