Nutrient recommendation is 20:20:0 kg NPK / ha. Inoculation of seeds with biofertilizers like Agrobacterium and Aspergillus awamori is recommended.
There is also a
great scope for bringing some upland area under sorghum, bajra, and little
millet. These crops can bring the rainfed upland into agricultural
intensification along with enhancing the nutritional security of the farmers
because of their rich in proteins and minerals. Recommended varieties of millet
crops in different agro-climatic zones of Odisha are shown in Table 2.18.
