Groundwater Recharge
Groundwater recharge (subsurface water
harvesting) is a hydrologic process that involves the downward movement of
water from surface water to groundwater. Recharge occurs both naturally without
any external intervention and artificially through anthropogenic processes
where rainwater is routed to the subsurface.
