- Deep ploughing in the month of June, kills the youngones/ crawlers.
- Raking of soil around tree trunk to expose the eggs to natural enemies and sun.
- Clean cultivation and removal of weeds.
- Greasy band or alkthene sheet (5 cm) may be applied half a meter above ground in the first week of December to prevent nymphs from climbing trees.
