Directions for using riceNxpert

Images of ten fully expanded healthy leaves should be taken with white background by placing a white sheet on the back of the leaf from 14 days after sowing ( DAS) till flowering at an interval of 8-10 days.

The images should be captured from a distance of 15-20 cm. All the readings should be taken during 8-10 AM by the same person using an android smart phone.

The images should be checked for its clarity with non-blur, disease free, clean background.

Then the leaves are cropped and RGB values are extracted.

These RGB values are converted into Pantones and then differentiated into four color categories. The N recommendation is made in terms of urea based on these color categories.

N @ 120 kg ha^-1 to be applied in equal splits of 4 (30% each) on the basis of riceNxpert recommendation.
