Cultural Management

  • Crop rotation with Cruciferous vegetables is recommended.
  • Crop rotations, viz., cowpea-maize-cabbage, okra-cowpea-maize, maize- cowpea-maize and finger millet-egg plant are reported effective in reducing bacterial wilt of tomato.
  • Maintain soil pH of 6.2-6.5 by applying organic amendments.
  • Use seedlings from pathogen free seed beds.
  • Restriction of irrigation water flowing from affected field to healthy field
