· Generally, there is no scope of application of N in deep water flood prone rice, however if sowing is done in the May end a Band placement using seed-cum-fertilizer drill at the time of sowing is advisable

Available N < 280 kg ha^-1 Apply 25 % more N over 50 Kg ha^-1

In favourable low land subjected to flash floods skipping basal N is recommended
Preferably post submergence application of N is advised if possible after recession of flood water. Foliar spray of urea (2.0% (w/v) urea solution) on the upper surface of leaf is recommended post submergence.
