East and south eastern coastal plain

zone. The zone experiences hot and humid climate with mean annual rainfall of
1449mm, having mean maximum summer temperature of 39.00 C and mean
minimum winter temperature of 11.50 C. Baitarani, Brahmani and
Mahanadi river basin influences the agriculture and civilization of the region.

lateritic, alluvial, red and mixed red. Irrigation ratio of the region is
53.4%.
