Crops and cropping patterns of different agro climatic zones of Odisha mostly depends on south west monsoon and irrigation potential available in the region. In Odisha safe crop growing period varies from 70-90 days in rainfed unbunded uplands to 300 or more days in irrigated medium and shallow lowlands. In this section planting time and period of growing of different crops agroecologywise along with crop calendar are discussed.
