Cultural Management
1. The disease is controlled by selecting
seed setts from disease free areas.
2. Alkaline soils may be avoided for growing the crop. The setts,
selected from disease free stalk, should be
dipped in organomercurial fungicide before
planting.
4. Avoid the practice of ratooning
in diseased fields.
5. Burn the trashes and stubbles in the field.
6. Grow coriander or mustard as a companion crop in the early stages of crop.
