Following symptoms can be observed in diseased field.

1. Disease occurs from seedling to maturity.

2. Leaves starts yellowing, loose their turgidity and withers.

3. Sudden or gradual wilting from bottom to top.

4. Entire plant wilts and dies in few days.

5. Wilted plats observed in patches in field.

6. Brown or dark purple colored bands are found on the surface of stem which start from base to several feet above ground level.

7. Vascular browning is seen.
