The Central Table Land

  • The predominant soil type is mixed red, black and lateritic.
  • The climate of the area is warm sub-humid.
  • The Central Table Land Zone of Odisha  consists of six  districts, namely,  Balangir,  Subarnapur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, Angul and Deogarh.
  • It occupied around 23.9% of the total geographic area of Odisha.
