·      Azolla co-culture with rice

• One week after the planting of rice seedlings, fresh Azolla at the rate of 200-300 g/m² (2-3 t/ha) should be applied in standing crops.
• Split application (twice) of superphosphate at 8-10 kg P₂O₅/ha.
• Azolla biomass is formed in three weeks.
• Water is then drained out and Azolla is incorporated into the soil using implements. 
• Dual cropping supplied 20-30 kg N/ha.
