Method of Application

Azospirillum culture + PSB

2-3 times thorough ploughing is done upto a depth of 20-30 cm followed by 2-3 harrowing for proper tilth.
At basal, FYM 10 t/ha neem or groundnut cake 200 kg/ha along with 10 kg/ha each of Azospirillum and Phosphobacterium are applied around the plants after one month of planting.
It is either planted on raised beds of 1 m width and convenient length with 15 cm height or on ridges and furrows or in flat system.
The spacing between the plants is kept 30 cm x 15 cm or 30 cm x 20 cm (in beds), 40-60 cm x 25 cm(on ridges and in furrows) and 50 cm x 15 cm (in flat system).
