Integrated Nutrient Management
Integrated nutrient management (INM) involves judicious application of nutrients to crops by combining both chemical fertilizers and organic materials like organic manures, green manures, biofertilizers and other organic decomposable materials
The
major components of integrated nutrient management are as follows
·
Organic
manures: Farm Yard Manure (FYM),
compost, vermicompost, biogas slurry, poultry manure, crop residues and
biowastes like press mud, sugarcane bagagges etc.
·
Biofertilizers:
BGA, Azolla, phosphate solublizers etc.
·
Green
manures: Dhaincha, Sunhemps
·
Crop
rotation with legumes
·
Balanced
NPK fertilizer application according to the demand of crop to attain a targeted
yield
